The Faculty of Music at the University of Oxford is looking to appoint a Finance and Research Officer to join its busy administrative team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the finances and research activities of the Faculty. He/she will promote the smooth running of the financial administration of the Faculty and its research projects, including its publications and Faculty-run conferences. The Faculty of Music is a busy Faculty, with a high research profile and a complex portfolio of activity. The role will involve daily contact with academic and administrative staff, as well as students, externals and, occasionally, auditors.
The postholder will also be expected to work very closely with the Humanities Division Finance team and be able to support other faculties within the Division, should the need arise.
Applications are welcome from well organised candidates with experience of financial administration, preferably in a Higher Education context. They will be expected to communicate well with people at all levels and be able to handle confidential matters with discretion.
