The appointment will be on UCL Grade CL7. The salary range will be £34,562 - £43,038 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

We need a research associate to help run the worlds first Cell and Gene therapy for Lung Cancer Trial.

The post holder will work as a Clinical Research associate based within the Lungs for Living Research Centre within UCL Respiratory in a team run by Professor Sam Janes. The post holder will work as part of a team investigating cell therapies for lung diseases with involvement with a first-in-man cell and gene therapy trial for thoracic malignancy. The overall aim of the research is to gain new insights into the therapeutic mechanisms and efficacy of genetically modified stem cell therapies. The centre runs basic, translational and clinical studies.

This post will have some clinical duties around the clinical trial, including managing patient assessments, providing clinical cover for trial patients and taking informed consent. The candidate must be committed to a research vision and will be expected to work either in the laboratory on a translational research topic or help development and recruitment of clinical trials.

This post is funded for 3 years from 1st April 2017 in the first instance.

Full GMC registration is required as is MRCP. An NTN in Respiratory Medicine/Oncology/Radiology is desirable. Applicants must have experience of audit and research.
