An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Clinical Trial Manager to join the Oxford Clinical Trials Research Unit (OCTRU) based within the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences in the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, Oxford.
As Clinical Trial Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the RIDD clinical trial, co-ordinating the design, implementation and running of a MHRA regulated clinical trial. You will ensure timely data collection and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) compliance, undertaking regular monitoring site-visits. Duties include liaising effectively with all relevant key staff and collaborators, maintaining up-to-date study documentation, providing regular feedback on the progress of the research to the Chief and ensuring all aspects of the research comply with OCTRU Standard Operating Procedures.
You will have a degree in a biomedical or associated subject and proven experience in clinical research. You will have an understanding of clinical research methodology, good clinical practice and the research governance framework, and experience of medical research information management techniques. Previous experience as a trial manager, meticulous attention to detail and proven administrative and project management skills are essential. Previous experience of non-commercial clinical trials and experience of overseeing the conduct of large clinical trials would be desirable.
This is a full-time fixed-term appointment until 28 February 2018.
