The Role
The Key College Lead for Strategic Partnerships will work within the UK Partnerships Department and College locations with a focus for responsibility in relation to designated key strategic FE Partners in Kent and London. They will also be expected to contribute to the development of emerging key strategic partners as appropriate.

Your responsibilities involve working closely with these partners to ensure that academic and accredited elements of partnership are of the quality required by the university. You will develop, maintain and enhance constructive relationships with relevant contacts within the key partners to support the current and emerging work and the identification of opportunities and risks. You will also take responsibility for working with Faculties, Schools and Professional Services on the successful delivery of existing work; the development of new programmes and student progression arrangements to CCCU and a wide range of projects.

You will be Higher Degree qualified (or equivalent standard) with recent experience in working in or with colleges of Further Education, schools and other partnership contexts. You must be able to demonstrate a well-developed understanding of FE and HE Policy context – nationally and internationally.

Negotiating and leadership skills and a proven ability to set and achieve targets and deliver within tight timescales where necessary are essential to the role. Strong communication and report writing skills are also among the requirements for this key role.

FE College/School Governing Body experience would be desirable as would strategic planning experience. It would also be advantageous to have had some direct involvement with CCCU’s campus network.
