Job Purpose
Contribute significantly as a senior manager to the development and delivery of Library strategy, culture, policy and operational plans. Deliver strong and strategic leadership in providing and developing the Library’s support for an excellent student experience. Lead, develop and manage the Library’s student engagement strategy to ensure delivery of high-quality, innovative, user-focused and responsive services. Act as a role model and advocate within the Library for the University’s Empowering People strategic aims.

Standard Terms & Conditions
Salary will be on the Management, Professional and Administrative Grade, level 9.

This post is a fixed term maternity cover from 4 January 2017 until 2 January 2018, shift pattern is 28 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 9am-5pm.

New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.

The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities’ Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
