Assistant Duty Managers

Responsible to the Sports Duty Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a team of Recreation Assistants and for ensuring that operational procedures and work practices are adhered to. In the absence of the Duty Manager, you will take responsibility for the operation of the facility and all shift teams and to ensure that excellent customer service is provided to all customers and visitors and in ensuring that the facilities remain safe, clean and well maintained at all times.

Working as part of a team, you will be flexible, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  You will also be highly motivated, enthusiastic and have the ability to work unsupervised and use your own initiative. You will have demonstrable experience working in a Sport, Leisure or Fitness Facility in a supervisory capacity and hold a current Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS) Lifeguard qualification or have the ability to pass within 3 months.

The role is required to work 35 hours per week on a shift basis which will include the requirement for you to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, University Closure days and Bank Holiday.

An Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) is required for this position.
