Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership Housing Policy Manager (Fixed-term)

Bournemouth University

Starting salary from £32,600 to £37,768 per annum with further progression opportunities to £41,255

Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership, a partnership between Dorset’s local authorities and businesses, determines local economic priorities for the region. Its key aim is to drive economic growth and job creation across Dorset.

Dorset is a great place to live and work and, as a partnership between business and local authorities, we are making it a better one. We are working together to deliver over £100m of investment to generate:

  • Up to £650m of additional local investment
  • Up to 26,000 new jobs
  • Up to 3000 new homes
  • Growing the skills base

We are now looking to expand our small team to provide a step change to our work and delivery. We require a ‘can do’ attitude and in return will offer outstanding experience. In addition to pragmatic, lateral thinking, you’ll also need a gift for stakeholder management. Excellent collaborative working and communication skills will help you influence at the highest levels. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where your ability to think strategically will be thoroughly tested.

You will work across Dorset to provide capacity to develop and deliver on the national housing agenda. You will be excellent at relationship building and be solution driven. You will have knowledge of housing policy and the ability to translate this meaningfully locally. You will assist in unlocking some of the barriers to delivery that have been identified.

This post is available for up to 2 years on a fixed-term basis in the first instance.
