The Department of General Practice has a proud tradition of academic excellence in teaching and research. Your role as Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor will make a significant contribution to all activities of the department and carry out initiatives to develop and maintain scholarly research and professional activities relevant to general practice.
You will play a key role in the strategic development of the department with a primary focus on general practice research, graduate students and international programs. Your research will enhance an existing stream of the department's. Teaching duties will primarily be focused on postgraduate students and include supervision of their research projects, enhancing their knowledge and skills, mentoring early career researchers and driving projects to achieve planned outcomes. In addition, you will provide invaluable input across all aspects of the department's work.
As the successful candidate, you will bring your proven expertise to the fore, drawing on your relevant doctoral qualification and strong publications record. A recognised record of research and proven excellence in teaching will further enhance your success here. A demonstrated track record of generating research income from both traditional and more innovative sources of research funding will further drive the success of the department and it's standing in academia.
