Applications are sought for a motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join a newly-established group of Dr Zuzana Horejsi. The project aims to discover novel phosphorylation-dependent interactions of proteins involved in DNA damage signalling and to study their physiological role in cells. The research will be based in the Centre for Molecular Oncology, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.
Applicants will have a PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biology or related science prior taking up the post. Significant research laboratory experience in cell biology, biochemistry or molecular biology is essential. Experience in the field of DNA damage signalling/repair or protein phosphorylation/signalling and appropriate publication records would be an advantage. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work independently as well as part of a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential.
The post is a fixed term position for 3 years initially. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, a defined benefit pension scheme and an interest free season ticket loan.
