Applications are invited for the position of research technician to support senior facility staff with facility operations, on-going proteomics services and projects within the School of Life Sciences. The successful applicant will be based in the Fingerprints Proteomics Facility and will work as part of a small yet dynamic support team interacting closely with other scientists on proteomics based projects.
The facility offers a range of proteomic and mass spectrometry based services that include protein identification, protein characterisation (e.g. phosphorylation) and global protein quantitation (e.g. SILAC, iTRAQ/TMT and Label Free). It is extremely well equipped with 10 mass spectrometry systems, including 4 x LTQ Orbitraps, Q-Exactive HF, TSQ Quantiva, LTQ Velos and a Bruker Autoflex Speed MALDI-TOF.
