The School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Automotive Engineering is home to around 2600 students and 200 staff. Owing to the continued growth and success of our undergraduate and postgraduate engineering provision, we are seeking to appoint candidates with a passion for teaching and research.

Applicants should have, as a minimum, a PhD in mechanical engineering or equivalent industrial experience. Experience of teaching and supervising student project work would be essential. Experience of module management would be desirable. Experience of working on and contributing to managing applied research projects would also be desirable.

We require a new full time, permanent member of staff with expertise in Computer Aided Design (CAD), ideally with extensive experience in automotive or motorsports engineering.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and be able to communicate with students, engineers and management in industry and academia at all levels. You must be able to take a leading role in developing industrial and academic collaboration and work within a team to develop successful funding proposals to ensure that projects are managed to deliver high quality and timely deliverables. The ambition to succeed in a competitive arena is essential.
