You will conduct research on Energy Systems Modelling for the Flexible Integrated Energy Systems (FLEXIS) European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Operation which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government. During this period, 100% of this post will be activities related to the implementation and delivery of FLEXIS EAST Welsh European Funding Office (WEFO) Case No. 80836). You will contribute to the overall research performance of the School and University, carrying out research leading to the publishing of work in high-quality journals and also pursue excellence in research and to inspire others to do the same.
The post is full time (35 hours per week) and is available immediately for a fixed-term period of 2 years and 3 months.
Although applications are welcome from candidates with expertise in any aspect of Energy System Modelling, areas of particular interest include:
- Energy system planning under uncertainty
- Integrated gas/heat/electricity systems
- Application of energy storage
- Use of low carbon energy sources

Salary: £31,656 - £37,768 per annum (Grade 6). It is not anticipated that an appointment will be made above £33,574 per annum.
