The salary will be paid at Grade 5, £27,629 to £32,004 per annum, plus £2,623 per annum London Allowance.

The Research Policy and Operations Department provides high level central strategic, policy and administrative support for research, research ethics, the Graduate School and research student functions of the College. The role of the Senior Research Ethics Officer is to facilitate the review and promotion of ethical research with human participants at King’s College London (except where this falls within the remit of the NHS) in accordance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and to manage review processes for staff and students within King’s College London. They will provide authoritative advice and guidance concerning ethical issues affecting research with human participants and support the work of the College Research Ethics Committee and its sub-structure

As a member of the Research Policy and Ethics Team, the successful applicant will be a proactive administrator with excellent organisational and communication skills. The post holder will have excellent IT skills and an ability to quickly adapt to new systems. Liaising constantly with staff and students and acting as one of the first points of contact for the Research Ethics Office, the post holder will be able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise their own workload. This post is a busy and varied role based within a rewarding and stimulating environment.
