Salary: £17,210 to £20,400 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
Applications are invited for the above post based at the School of Biosciences on the Sutton Bonington Campus, near Loughborough.
The role is part of a team of 3 and the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for staff, student and visitor enquiries on the ground floor in the division of Food Sciences. This will either be in person, over the telephone or by email.
They will also provide essential administrative support to the academic, technical and research staff within the division which will include meeting preparation and minute taking, booking of travel, conference arrangements, stationery & catering requirements.
The role also requires extensive I.T knowledge (Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel), excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work accurately and to deadlines and excellent interpersonal skills.
Subject to the Schools operational requirements the role holder may also be required to support the Senior Administration Manager & other administrative staff to ensure full administrative cover is provided across the School during busy periods and times of absence.
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including English and Maths plus some experience in a relevant role and to hold an RSA Level II (or equivalent) and an NVQ 3 in Administration or equivalent would be a desirable qualification OR considerable work experience in a relevant role/relevant life experience reinforced by work experience.
