Regional Partnerships Manager (78022-106)

University of Warwick - Department of External Affairs

Fixed term one year maternity cover.

Warwick is an institution that is internationally renowned, and is consistently ranked among the top ten UK universities. These significant achievements have been made from our base in Coventry, in the heart of a region we’re enormously proud of. It’s where we’ve developed and nurtured many of our most valuable partnerships. It’s where your know how could help us forge many more.

Our Business and Regional Engagement team is looking for someone to lead our Regional Partnerships team, taking line management and budgetary responsibilities. You’d contribute to the development of an evolving strategy for engaging with local, civic and sub-regional partners. You’d be primarily responsible for delivering this strategy too, taking a lead on identifying and managing relationships with key individuals and organisations. It’s a vital role of coordination, during an exciting period of opportunity for the region through the likes of the West Midlands Combined Authority and the Midlands Engine.

To be successful in this role, which would see you bringing us closer to councillors, MPs and other civic leaders, you’ll need excellent all-round communication skills. You’ll have considerable experience of engagement activities across sectors, be that higher education, public, private or third sector. Naturally, you’ll also have a keen interest in what’s happening politically in those sectors.

Interview date: 27 October 2016.
