Image Informatician

University of Edinburgh - Advanced Imaging Resource at the IGMM

An Image Informatician position is available in the Advanced Imaging Resource at the IGMM, University of Edinburgh. We are looking for a motivated and personable image analyst to assist our researchers with a wide range of projects which generate light, fluorescent and super-resolution microscopy images. The position will focus on training and ad-hoc support of end users in use of commercial and open source image analysis programmes such as: Image J, CellProfiler, Imaris, Huygens and Definiens. The post holder would be expected to provider training resources suitable for one-to one, group and online training. Some development of bespoke image analysis scripts for programmes such as ImageJ/Fiji and Cell-Profiler may also be required.
