The Discipline of Health Promotion invites applications for a permanent full-time Lecturing post to contribute to teaching and research programmes in Health Promotion at NUI Galway. The post holder will contribute to the development of the current suite of programmes and will have particular responsibility for the delivery of teaching on the MA/Postgraduate Diploma and PhD programmes in Health Promotion.
Candidates for this permanent full-time position should possess a PhD in Health Promotion or a cognate discipline and should have excellent teaching and course management skills and a proven track record of research and scholarly publications in Health Promotion. Expertise in the translation of Health Promotion research to practice and policy, including the European and international dimensions, is particularly desirable. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the academic leadership and strategic development of teaching and research programmes within the Discipline.
The appointment is for a permanent contract which will commence in January, 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter.

At Lecturer Below the Bar level
€36,230 to €51,104 p.a. (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)
At Lecturer Above the Bar level
€62,059 p.a. to €76,916 p.a.
(This appointment will be made on the Lecturer Above/Below the Bar scale in line with current Government pay policy)
(For pre 1995 public sector entrants in Ireland, the D class Salary rates will apply)
