You will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and archiving of master data; ensuring that it meets the necessary standards of data integrity for all users within the institutional Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and other University systems.
You will use IT tools such as Excel to explore and identify likely duplicates in the data. The removal of duplicates will involve working with colleagues in the Management Information Team (MI) in ITS and colleagues in the wider university who are responsible for source systems which are passing data to the CRM.
You will also work with the Master Data Management tools implemented by the MI team to manage the master data and ensure it is in the correct state to be exported to the production CRM system.
You will undertake cleaning of data to be loaded into the CRM system, including the merging of duplicate data records. You will also work with stakeholders across the business to highlight differences in coding practices and develop and guide the creation of a consistent taxonomy for institutional master data sets.
