Team Bath Training and Development, the education and training arm of the Department of Sports Development & Recreation (DSDR) at the University of Bath, are looking for a Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our team as the Programme Lead for our Strength and Conditioning educational programmes and to support the applied delivery to BUCS sports and athletes.
You will also lead the mentoring of student coaches progressing though their journey towards UKSCA accreditation. Therefore, to meet the challenging but exciting demands of the role, you will be a passionate educator and coach with a desire to build a leading portfolio of S&C education and to impact the development of students; you will be responsible for innovative and high quality delivery and design of the Strength and Conditioning curriculum, which will include BWLA courses, intensive and part time long course delivery and responsibility for an academic undergraduate unit in the Department for Health; and, lastly but importantly, you will be a team player with the ability to work closely with the wider T&D team to ensure our provision of learning and development opportunities within the DSDR and University of Bath are UK leading.
A relevant strength and conditioning qualification with evidence of continuing professional development and UKSCA accreditation is essential, as is experience of high quality educational delivery. The successful applicant will also demonstrate an excellent understanding of high performance sport in the UK, with experience of Strength and Conditioning delivery in high performance environments.
This is an wonderful opportunity to play a key role in developing our Strength and Conditioning curriculum and would suit a driven, creative and accomplished S&C coach with the organisational ability and desire to drive forwards Strength and Conditioning education and coach development.
