We are seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Rehabilitation to join a successful interdisciplinary team of researchers led by Professor Sallie Lamb to contribute to the work of the Kadoorie Critical Care Research Centre and the Oxford Clinical Trials Research Unit at the Botnar Research Centre, Oxford in the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences, University of Oxford.
You will work as part of a team of research fellows, research physiotherapists and trial administrators to carry out trials of complex interventions in the area of musculoskeletal rehabilitation. A key part of this role will be developing interventions and related training materials and to work closely with the staff recruiting and delivering interventions at study centres. Duties will include training staff to deliver trial interventions and working to resolve barriers to recruitment and intervention delivery. The post will involve travel to study centres depending on the phase of projects.
You will have a PhD (or near completion) in health sciences or a related field and have experience of working as an allied health professional or nurse in the area of musculoskeletal or gerontological rehabilitation. You will be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council or Nurse and Midwifery Council as appropriate and will have experience in the methodology, supervision and conduct of healthcare research. A record of publications in peer reviewed journals is also essential. Experience of working in the NHS and of supervising students would be desirable.
This is a full-time fixed-term contract for 3 years.
