You will join a team working on an ERDF-funded project; LCR 4.0. LCR 4.0 which is a funded programme to support growth in the Liverpool City Region. You will be employed by University to provide project support to the Sensor City delivery team who are providing delivery of sensor related activity within the LCR 4.0 Programme. LCR 4.0 offers the Liverpool City Region (LCR) the opportunity to position itself at the forefront of an emerging global revolution in manufacturing driven by technology advances merging digital and physical worlds. LCR4.0 will be truly transformational being the first region to adopt Industry 4.0 technologies to increase productivity and stimulate sustainable economic growth.
You will provide technical mechanical support and know-how to the project in support of SMEs. As an experienced specialist you will be expected to develop prototype components and systems to an agreed specification using the facilities available to Sensor City. You will be working with the PI for the University of Liverpool, Professor Joe Spencer. You should be qualified to BTEC Higher level (or equivalent). The post is available until 31 March 2019.
