In support of the University of Hull's ambitious £200m investment programme, and the desire to further develop the University's strong engagement with business through the Faculty of Health Science the new role of Faculty Director for Business Engagement and Enterprise (FDBEE) has been created.
This new position represents unique and exciting opportunities to play a leading role in driving the success of both the individual Faculty and the University as a whole and applications are now being sought from applicants who believe they may have the necessary mix of skills and experience.
Based within the Faculty of Health Science, the FDBEE will report to the Dean and will provide strategic leadership for all the Faculty’s business engagement and enterprise activity. In addition the FDBEE will work with the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research and Enterprise), the Director of Research, Head of Commercialisation and other FDBEEs to develop and implement University plans for business engagement and enterprise activities.
The successful candidate will have a wide and challenging remit including:
- Development and execution of Faculty-specific strategy for engagement with business and the corporate world
- Acting in an ambassadorial role to the business and corporate world, developing productive relationships with business and corporate partners
- Acting as the first point of contact for all new Faculty business relationships
- Providing high quality advice and guidance on business engagement across the Faculty
We expect that this role will be ideally suited to someone with senior level credibility within both the corporate and academic worlds, a proven track record of developing productive and mutually beneficial business relationships, and strong leadership and communication skills.
