Salary: £17,210 to £20,400 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
Based in the University’s award-winning External Relations department, the Administrative Assistant – Schools and Colleges Liaison role will provide administrative support to the School and Colleges Liaison team. The role holder will support the delivery of undergraduate recruitment activity, such as school and college visits across the UK, campus visits, conferences for careers advisers and teachers, and UCAS higher education exhibitions. This role has a wide range of responsibilities, including managing enquiries, booking transport and accommodation, keeping up-to-date records of attendance at events, supporting the student ambassador scheme and administering the operating budget. The role holder will also be required to visit schools and colleges across the UK (approximately 10% of role) to represent the University at higher education fairs.
This post requires excellent administration, communication, and customer service skills. Candidates should be educated to A Level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate significant administrative experience. Excellent IT skills, including the range of Microsoft applications are essential. This post involves occasional evening and weekend work and occasional travel throughout the UK. A full UK driver’s licence is required, unless disability precludes this.
