We are looking for a HR Support Partner (maternity cover) to join the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a leader in public health research and post-graduate education, the School’s mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and across the world.
S/he will be assigned to an academic Faculty and departments within Professional Service Services. The post holder will play a key role by supporting the HR Partner and the designated Faculty/Department in the embedding of HR Partnering model in their area and the wider School. S/he will work closely with the HR Partner, other HR colleagues and relevant managers to provide a bespoke, high quality Human Resources support services including managing employee relations cases, redeployment, issuing Certificate of Sponsorship and Job evaluation.
Applicants must be studying for a CIPD qualification or have equivalent professional experience, show demonstrable understanding of customer needs, have a results oriented and problem solving approach, excellent IT skills including experience of working with HR systems and processes, a good working knowledge of employment legislation and its implications in the workplace and the ability to provide clear advice and guidance on a range of HR matters. The post holder will report to a Human Resources Partner and this will be a challenging but highly rewarding opportunity for the right candidate.
This is a fixed term post available from December 2016 to January 2018.
The salary will be on the Professional Support Pathway Grade 5 scale in the range £33,006 to £37,889 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
