Lecturer/Senior Lecturer In Computer Science (Biomedical Imaging)

Lecturer Salary: £32,004+
Senior Lecturer Salary: £37,075+

We seek to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer with established research expertise and strong interests related to (bio)Medical Imaging/Healthcare Computing or other relevant fields and applications. You should hold a PhD or be near to completion, and should be able to demonstrate a matching track record in these research fields. Once in post, you are expected to develop your own research portfolio, acquire external funding, publish in the highest quality journals, and to conduct, direct and supervise research in line with the targets set by the School. You will be part of the Laboratory of Vision Engineering (LoVE), a Research Centre with an international reputation and scope currently spanning several healthcare topics amongst which: proton therapy, retinopathy, medical image processing and quantitative analysis, advanced visualisation, personal healthcare monitoring and precision medicine.

You will be expected to take an active part in the activities of the School of Computer Science, to contribute to its teaching activity at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to demonstrate a commitment to maintaining the University’s high standards in teaching and learning.

The School of Computer Science at the University of Lincoln has scored highly in the recent independent performance measures of UK's university computing departments: in the top 20% for overall student satisfaction (NSS 2016), the top 50 for research excellence in its publications (RAE 2014) and 10% above the sector average for graduate employability (DLHE 2014).
