Deputy Director of Customer Services
University of Oxford - IT Services
|Salary:||£52,219 to £60,513 Grade 10 p.a.|
|Placed on:||17th October 2016|
|Closes:||11th November 2016|
Are you passionate about the relationship between IT and our customers? Can you lead work to build trust and strategic partnership around IT services? Can you find and bring together the right people to overcome technical and non-technical challenges in service delivery?
The University of Oxford is looking for an exceptional individual who can lead the engagement between IT service consumers, suppliers, and delivery partners in our complex and devolved organisation. You will also be responsible for the delivery of IT services worth over £1m annually, and supporting collaboration between IT teams working across the wider University.
You will need: an outstanding track-record of delivering and managing IT services; proven record of effective relationship management, and the ability to lead a programme to develop strategic relationships between business units and IT; clear understanding of the research, teaching, and administrative processes of a higher education institution, and how IT support this.
Whilst the role is a Grade 10 position, we would be willing to consider candidates with potential but less experience who are seeking a development opportunity, for which an initial appointment would be at Grade 9 (£45,066 - £52,219 p.a.) with the responsibilities adjusted accordingly. This would be discussed with applicants at interview where appropriate.
The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on 11 November 2016. Interviews are currently scheduled to be held week commencing 21 November 2016.
