We are seeking applications for a Research Assistant or Research Officer to join the Sêr Solar team in the College of Engineering’s Materials Research Centre on an EPSRC funded ‘Solar Grand Challenge’ project. The successful applicant will be responsible for the fabrication of perovskite and organic solar cells and the characterization of degradation phenomena affecting their performance, targeting in particular degradation mechanisms related to the interlayers and electrodes of the devices. The successful applicant will join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team targeting the development and evaluation of printed solar cells, and will also be expected to work closely with collaborators in this project including Imperial College London (Prof. Jenny Nelson), Sheffield University (Prof. David Lidzey) and Ossila Ltd. The applicant will be responsible for the fabrication and characterization of the photovoltaic devices and small modules (including the interlayers), and work with other team members to undertake optical spectroscopic, morphological, functional, and processability studies of films and devices.
This is a fixed term position funded to 30th April 2018
