Student Records System Development Team Manager

Location: 1 Guildhall Square

As the Development Team Manager for the University’s Student Records System, you will lead a team of 12 database and application developers to maintain, upgrade and evolve the University’s Student Records System (Banner). The team also works with other related systems for student administration and is heavily involved in statutory returns.

You will utilise your management skill to lead, manage and monitor the performance of all staff in the team. You will work collaboratively with other project and team managers in assigning levels of resource to collaboratively meet university priorities.

As a senior member of iSolutions, you will also work with the user groups of the student related systems, their service providers and external suppliers. These relationships and an understanding of university requirements must help guide a long term (5 year) roadmap and vision for the Student Record System.

The successful candidate is likely to have achieved a Postgraduate Degree or professional qualification equivalent in IT and be able to demonstrate project and people management skills and have experience of successfully managing delivery of products and outcomes. Able to identify broad trends to assess deep rooted and complex issues, you will be able to evidence your confidence in providing expert guidance and advice to colleagues to resolve complex problems.
