You will be employed as a Research Integrity Officer in the Research Governance and Contracts Section (RGC) of Research and Innovation Services (RIS). RIS is one of ten departments within the University’s Professional Services which supports the research activity of this Russell Group university.
As a member of the Research Governance Team, you will provide professional advice, guidance and support to academic and research staff. The work of the Research Governance Team supports the University in achieving its aims and objectives set out in ‘The Way Forward’, and in particular the sub-strategies for Research and Innovation, International and Engagement.
The Research Governance Team works closely with the Contracts Team, and the expertise across RGC is essential to ensure that the University’s research is of the highest quality and impact. Working within RGC will provide the post-holder with an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work independently and as part of a professional team, in an area which is demand-led and often with challenging deadlines.
You will provide specialist advice and guidance on all matters relating to research integrity to ensure compliance with the Universities UK Concordat on Research Integrity. You will support the University in key areas of Research Integrity in order for Cardiff University to perform high quality research with impact which is underpinned by a robust culture of research integrity. You will take a leading role in the implementation of relevant University policies and develop information resources and training to ensure best practice. You will provide support to the University’s Research Governance Officer to ensure appropriate governance of research involving human participants, including clinical research.
