Accounts Supervisor

Bodleian Accounts provides a full financial support service to the Bodleian Libraries and is looking for an Accounts Supervisor to join the team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all the transactional processing functions carried out by the Accounts team.

Managing a team of three, you will ensure that the essential daily tasks of cash-handling and banking, payables invoice processing and the monitoring of incoming email are covered. This will include directly providing cover when required. A significant part of your role will be to act as the key point of contact to Bodleian administrative and finance staff outside of the Accounts team, particularly in relation to the payables, purchasing and cash management processes.

You will numerate, have experience of leading and managing a team within an accounts or finance-related environment and experience of cash handling and payables invoice processing. A focus on meeting priorities and deadlines, while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy is essential. An understanding or experience of the University’s Oracle financial system would be desirable.

This is a permanent, full-time post.

Owing to the nature of this post, candidates will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check as well as a financial background check.
