This post offers a defined career development opportunity for a qualified clinical psychologist with experience in CAMHS, in particular child neurodevelopmental disorders and problems, to contribute to clinical and developmental assessments of children aged 3 to 8 years old. This person will provide training for interviewers and assessors and maintain review of ethical issues and needs for referral to appropriate services. In addition, this person can undertake clinically relevant academic research. You will apply your clinical skills to work within the context of the Neurodevelopmental Disorder Assessment Unit, based in the Human Developmental Science centre at Cardiff University. You will provide training and supervision of interviewers and assessors, take a lead role in the supervision of the clinical interviews for the children and their parents, and train other students and researchers in the skills required for effective clinical interviewing.
This position is part-time (20%) - 1 day per week, and fixed-term until 30 September 2019. The post is available immediately.
