Ruihua Institute for Innovation Management was founded on 1st July, 2014 in Zhejiang University (ZJU), a top-three research university in China with a total research budget of 3.4 Billion RMBin 2015.Ruihua Institute is committed to become an innovation management, strategic management, and information centre on Huawei with international influence. The institute is jointly led by Prof. Xiaobo Wu (Dean, School of Management, ZJU) and Mr Tao Tian (Adviser of Huawei International Advisory Board), and it currently comprises over 20 key members, including former executives from Huawei and scholars from School of Management, ZJU. Till now, Ruihua institute has hosted 8 symposiums successfully to keep frequent interaction between people from academic research community and industry field, and built an extensive international collaboration network with professors from University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, etc.
Now Ruihua Institute has an opening for full-time post-doctoral positions, collaborating with Prof. Xiaobo Wu. Dr. Wu is Qiushi Chair Professor of Strategy and Innovation Management in ZJU, honored as Chang Jiang Chari Professor by Ministry of Education, China, and Smiths Chair Professor at Leeds University, UK. His primary research interests centre around Technological Innovation Management, Inclusive Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Global Manufacturing and Network-based Competitive Strategy. Till now, he has hosted 10 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and published nearly two hundred academic papers in journals like International Journal of Technology Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Journal of Business Research, Industry and Innovation, and published over ten books in the related fields. He also serves on the editorial boards of professional journals, including IEEE-Transaction on Engineering Management, Asian Journal of Technological Innovation, etc.
Detailed requirements for the full-time post-doctoral position carrying a two-year contract as follows:
The successful candidate is also expected to carry out research projects independently and public academic papers in leading journals. And the post-doctoral fellow will also contribute to the design and implementation of research and training activities and the supervision of PhD students, and some other broader activities such as organizing seminars and conferences.
We are seeking applicants from high quality candidates capable of providing high level research assistance on our work. Applicants should hold a PhD in innovation management or be close to completion, and should have experience of publishing research output at an internationally recognized level. The position also requires excellent command of the Chinese and English language, both spoken and written.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for the post-doctoral position is 150,000 RMB per annum and commensurate with qualifications. We will also offer sufficient fund and good working conditions for research, also provide opportunities for international visiting like conferences or symposiums. After two years, subject to performance, the position holder may be recommended to apply the tenure-track assistant professor in the “100 Talent Program” of Zhejiang University;
