University of Oxford - Department of Physics, Sub-department of Theoretical Physics
|Salary:||£30,738 to £37,768 p.a.|
|Placed on:||26th October 2016|
|Closes:||30th January 2017|
Applications are invited for up to four Postdoctoral Research Associates to perform research on the theory of condensed matter working with Professors J T Chalker, F Essler, P Fendley, D E Logan and S Simon. The positions are supported from an EPSRC grant for work on Quantum Matter in and out of Equilibrium. The posts are available for a fixed-term period of two years starting from 1 October 2017.
The successful candidates will work in collaboration with the Investigators on research supported by the grant. This allows considerable flexibility but has as its main themes: Disorder in Correlated Quantum Matter, Characterisation and Detection of Topological Matter, Non-Equilibrium Quantum States of Matter, Geometric Descriptions of Topological Phases.
The successful candidates will hold (or be about to complete) a PhD/DPhil in physics, or a closely related field. The postholders are expected to conduct research in collaboration with the theoretical condensed matter physics group at the University of Oxford.
The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Monday 30 January 2017.
