This full time post from 1st January 2017 for a fixed term period of 18 months.
We are seeking a full-time Research Associate to recruit and test dementia patients with behavioural symptoms in our Dementia Research and Care Clinic which is co-headed by Professor Michael Hornberger and Professor Eneida Mioshi.
The role holder will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the clinic recruitment and testing including helping to design experiments, scheduling and testing neurodegenerative participants either in clinic or at their home, as well as data collection, scoring and statistical analysis.
The successful candidate will have an honours degree in Psychology or Clinical Neuroscience along with extensive experience of working with dementia patients, in particular those with frontotemporal dementia. Experience of neuropsychological assessment in dementia patients with behavioural symptoms, including conducting assessments in patients’ homes, is also essential.
A Masters or PhD level qualification/experience in Psychology or a related field would be advantageous.
The post holder will be subject to an enhanced criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
