Creative Writing is seeking to recruit a dynamic teacher and high quality researcher to join our successful and innovative programme. We are looking for applicants with expertise in the area of Creative Writing and particularly in the areas of poetry and fiction.
You will contribute to teaching on a range of modules that combine theory and practice. You will also be a researcher whose Creative Writing outputs can contribute to the subject area’s research profile for REF purposes.
You should be near to completion of a PhD or have equivalent practical experience as well as extensive teaching experience at HE level.
We expect the successful applicant to pursue their own research activity in line with the research strategy of the subject and to produce research outcomes which will enhance the department’s research standing. The candidate will be expected to participate in at least one of the research centres and / or hubs in the College of Business, Arts & Social Sciences or a university research institute. You will also contribute to the administration of the subject.
