University Lecturer/ University Senior Lecturer in Computer Systems

Lectureship salary at start date: Grade 9 (£39,324 - £49,772) Senior Lectureship salary at start date: Grade 10 (£52,793 - £55,998).

The University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory is seeking to recruit a new faculty member at the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level who can contribute to research in the broad area of computer systems. This includes (but is not limited to) operating systems, distributed systems, secure systems, dependable systems, system management, and virtualisation.

Notwithstanding the above focus, exceptional candidates from any area of Computer Science are also encouraged to apply.

It is likely that successful candidates will already have a strong track record in one or more relevant research areas and already have some postdoctoral experience. Ideally the candidate will also have experience of teaching and of generating research grant income.

Those with appropriate experience in their current role may be appointed to a Senior Lectureship at grade 10, for which the salary at start date will be £52,793 - £55,998.

The appointment will be from 1st October 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter.
