Partnerships Officer

London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine - Directorate

We are seeking to appoint a Partnerships Officer to provide administrative support to the School’s relationships with strategic institutional partners, both in the UK and overseas (including Nagasaki University, National University of Singapore, Public Health Foundation of India, MRC Gambia, the Africa Centre, Sichuan University, Public Health England, Sanger Institute, University College London) and to agreed priority country groups (including Ethiopia, Tanzania, South Africa, China, India, Singapore, and Japan). The post holder will support the development of policies and decision making processes regarding the School’s partnerships and international engagement strategies; and ensure the implementation of actions agreed between the partners; and act as a focal point for partner interactions and for partner leads.

Applicants should be educated to Bachelor degree level or equivalent. He/She should have experience of representing an organisation and working with senior executives from external bodies and Experience of working in an academic or similar environment and working closely with senior academic staff. He/she should have a collaborative and flexible approach and ability to work well and effectively with all colleagues and students and should be committed to School’s policy of equal opportunities and have the ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and students of all cultures and background.

The post is full time and permanent. The salary will be on the Professional Support Pathway Grade 6 scale in the range £37,889 to £43,028 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. 

The post will be based in Keppel Street at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
