Senior Research Associate

University of Bristol - School of Physiology, Pharmacology & Neuroscience

Applications are invited for an initial one year postdoctoral position to study the involvement of calcium-activated SK channels in the repolarization of the human atrial myocyte action potential. Candidates should be experienced with single cell electrophysiology, particularly with current-clamp recording. The project will use human atrial tissue and flexibility is required to enable recording from viable dispersed single atrial myocytes. SK channel subtypes will be identified by both pharmacology and immunocytochemistry.
