As part of the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building (DAB) you will provide strategic leadership and overall operational management to the School of Architecture’s teaching and learning, research and external engagement programs and activities.

As part of UTS’s innovative and vibrant Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building, led by Professor Elizabeth Mossop, you will join a Faculty highly regarded for the quality of its courses, its excellent connections to industry, and the internationalisation of its staff and students. Its research leads the way in developing the design, architecture and built environment professions, with a particular focus on the integration of digital technologies and research into professional practice. As such, the Faculty plays a key role in UTS’s strategy to become a world-leading university of technology. 

About the School
The UTS School of Architecture is a laboratory for the future of architecture and is committed to teaching, learning and research that will improve Sydney’s diverse environments through critical and creative spatial thinking. You will have the opportunity to engage in innovative practices while working with internationally recognised staff including, adjunct professors, visiting academics and guest lecturers that are actively engaged with industry as practitioners.

As Head of School, you will lead the pursuit of excellence in learning and teaching, research, engagement and the student experience.  You will develop School-wide action plans that align with UTS’s overall mission, vision and strategic goals. You will embed a continuous improvement culture that strives for excellence consistent with the UTS values, promotes Faculty collegiality, mutual trust, creativity, flexibility and innovation. 

Remuneration & Benefits
A competitive salary and package will be offered. 

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary. 

This appointment will be on a three year fixed term, full-time basis which, on conclusion, offers reversion to a substantive Professor level position on a continuing, full time basis.
