The genesis of our success to date has been building long lasting connections, inspiring alumni and friends about giving to Imperial, and ensuring that donors are recognised for their generosity and kept informed about the impact of their gift.

Reporting to the Vice President (Advancement), and working in close partnership with the Director of Global Development and Director of Principal Gifts, you will be considered a trusted advisor and part of the senior leadership team. This is a high visibility role within and outside of the College. Degree educated, extremely credible, collaborative and able to deliver results, you will be energised by working at pace and accelerating meaningful and considered change initiatives. 

Primarily we are searching for a leader who will inspire, develop and drive a high performance and passionate team (25 staff in total, 8 direct reports) to raise £10 to £15 million per year in gifts of £25,000+, and £1 million in annual giving.  You will be pivotal in embedding a culture of stretch goals, creative and opportunistic strategies, and high volume face-to-face engagement.  In addition, you will lead the Prospect Development team in building a robust pool of prospects, including principal gifts prospects, through recognised best practices in identification, such as data scrubbing and predictive modelling. 

You will lead by example by maintaining and delivering on a portfolio of high net worth prospects. Your in-depth end-to-end fundraising experience and impressive influencing skills gained in a large and fast-paced matrix environment will be utilised to the full. From day one, there is the expectation that you will hit the ground running; as such, our search is focussed on talent with relevant experience gained in higher education, a trust, NGO, political organisation, charity or similar environment.
