This job description is indicative, not prescriptive, and the balance of duties will be in accordance with the contract of employment.
The School seeks an academic that will be able to contribute to the Department of Computing and Information Systems through teaching across a range of modules and adding to the research within this area, with the main focus on computer games design and development. Preferably, they should have a good understanding of teaching in Higher Education and be able to contribute to development of learning and teaching within the School. The person appointed would have a sound technical knowledge of computer gaming across different computer platforms and have a very good understanding of implementing computer game design, development and associated software tools. The role will involve working as part of a team and the person appointed would be able to manage modules and work closely with other members of the department.
