Operations Co-ordinator

Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) - Global Operations Department

ABRSM is the UK’s largest music education body, one of its largest music publishers and the world’s leading provider of music exams, offering assessments to more than 630,000 candidates in 93 countries every year. We support the teaching and learning of music, in partnership with the Royal Schools of Music. Our mission is to inspire achievement in music.

An opportunity has arisen for an Operations Co-ordinator to join our Representative Support team, which is within the Global Operations Department. The Global Operations Department is responsible for the delivery of graded exams, Diplomas, Music Medals and other assessments and services across the world. The Representative Support team works with our Local Representatives in the UK and overseas to ensure that ABRSM provides the best possible service to its customers. As Operations Co-ordinator, you will be a key contact for Representatives, providing them with up-to-date information about products and service delivery, supporting them through all aspects of their role and, together, identifying opportunities for promotional and growth activities by using local market understanding. In liaison with team colleagues, you will also be involved in the development, organisation and delivery of training schemes and events for Local Representatives globally.

This role will suit someone who has a comprehensive understanding of customer service in an operational context and, ideally, experience of event planning. Experience of managing and maintaining effective working relationships with volunteers would be an advantage. You will also need the ability and confidence to make most decisions without supervision, in-line with operational guidelines and processes, and an understanding of financial processes and management of costs.

We would expect applicants to have an interest in music education and in our products and services, as well as an empathy with ABRSMs values and long-term aims.

ABRSM offers its employees a range of benefits, including an interest-free season ticket loan and a contributory pension scheme.
