To undertake high-quality research in Applied Economics, to actively contribute to teaching in our postgraduate courses as well as undergraduate programmes as appropriate, and to undertake administration as required by the Head of Subject.

The salary will be on the Research and Teaching Grade, level 7/8, £33,943 - £38,183 / £41,709 - £48,327 per annum.
On occasion the total reward package determined by the University's pay and grading system may not be consistent with reward packages offered for comparable posts in the wider labour market, in such cases the University will offer a recruitment supplement in addition to the normal reward package for the post.
The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities' Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
All research and related activities, including grants, donations, clinical trials, contract research, consultancy and commercialisation are required to be managed through the University's relevant processes (e.g. contractual and financial), in accordance with the University Court's policies.
