The University of Stirling is one of the UK’s most progressive research universities and offers an outstanding student experience characterised by flexibility, innovation and a stunning campus location. The University has launched a new strategic plan (2016 – 2021) http://www.stir.ac.uk/about/our-strategy/ that will further build its profile and reputation as an international, research-led institution with significant societal impact.
We now seek to recruit a Director of Estates who will lead the University’s strategy and operations for estates services and campus development.
The essence of the University of Stirling is its great people: our graduates, staff (1,500+) and students (13,000+) are helping to shape the world. Founded by Royal Charter in 1967, the University of Stirling was the first genuinely new university in Scotland for over 400 years. We retain our pioneering spirit and a passion for innovation and excellence in all that we do.
We aim to be at the forefront of research and learning that helps to improve lives. Working with academic, commercial, public, private and voluntary sector partners, we are one of the UK's leading research universities in the fields of health and wellbeing, the environment and people, culture and society, enterprise and the economy, and sport.
The University is located in the City of Stirling at the gateway to the Scottish highlands. The 330-acre campus encompasses a loch, a golf course and the 18th-century Airthrey Castle. It is undoubtedly one of the most attractive campuses in Europe: the virtual campus tour provides a flavour of what to expect.
