Learning Technologist

Applications are invited from self-motivated individuals for the post of Learning Technologist.  Working as part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Learning Technology team, the postholder will support the maintenance and development of innovative e-Learning across the Faculty’s departments, and work closely with  Learning Technology colleagues and academics to deliver engaging, interactive and instructionally sound materials that address varied learning styles and are accessible to all students.

This is an exciting and challenging post that will play a vital role in supporting teaching via e-Learning methods and engaging staff in the use of new technologies to enhance the educational mission of Imperial College. Based at the South Kensington Campus, the postholder will support all 5 departments in the Faculty of Natural Sciences.    

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent work experience and/or professional qualifications, together with experience in a similar role.  You must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate effectively with academic and support staff at all levels. You will have knowledge and experience of web-based technologies in the delivery of teaching and learning resources. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, providing assistance to colleagues when required, and a demonstrable commitment to accuracy and attention to detail in providing a high-quality e-Learning service are also essential.
