The University of Oxford is seeking to appoint an outstanding and experienced academic to fill the King Alfonso XIII Professorship of Spanish Studies.
The successful applicant will provide academic leadership within the Sub-faculty of Spanish and undertake teaching and research in the field of Spanish studies, understood as covering the language, literature and broader cultures of Spain and Spanish America. She/he will have a world-leading research and publications record in Spanish studies, native or near native command of spoken and written Spanish and English, and excellent teaching skills at both graduate and undergraduate level. She/he will play a leading role in graduate recruitment to the Sub-faculty of Spanish and the teaching of graduate students, and will have the ability to promote Spanish studies both within Oxford and internationally.
