Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) studentship 2017-2018

The School of Law of The University of Manchester is pleased to welcome applications for the AHRC award from candidates wishing to conduct research in traditional legal subject areas or in healthcare ethics/bioethics in September 2017.

The studentships comprise full-time tuition fees at RCUK approved rate, an annual stipend starting at approx. £14,296 (subject to confirmation) and a research training support grant.

The studentship is available for UK and EU applicants who hold an upper second class degree or above and a master’s degree with an overall mark of 60% or above, or an equivalent combination of qualification and/or experience. Additionally, they are expected to meet the specific requirements of the intended PhD programme. Depending on the candidates’ residential eligibility, the award can be made as a full studentship or tuition fees only studentship.
