We are seeking a full-time Senior Research Manager to join the Oxford Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME), based at the Old Road Campus Research Building (Headington). The post is fixed-term for 3 years from appointment.
The role has two key aspects: management of research grant activity across the IBME, and management of a major EPSRC-funded programme grant (the Oxford Centre for Drug Delivery Devices). The person appointed will undertake reviews of expenditure on ongoing projects, prepare financial forecasts and regularly review existing and future research needs to recommend adjustments to administrative support staff, research support staff and space to the IBME director.
You should possess a university degree or equivalent experience of project management in a research, public sector environment or large organisation environment. You will have excellent oral, written communication skills and inter-personal skills, a proven financial aptitude with attention to detail and good working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email and database software.
