Director, MB BS programme

The Hull York Medical School invites applications for the role of Director of our flagship MBBS programme. You will have a strong, established profile of leadership in medical education. You will provide academic leadership to and be a senior member of the team responsible for the delivery and quality of the HYMS MBBS programme. You will have the ambition and ability to build on our dynamic curriculum to help the HYMS programme become internationally leading and recognized.

We welcome applications from medically qualified academics. The successful applicant will hold a substantive contract with the University of Hull and where clinically active, an honorary consultant/GP contract with the NHS. For an exceptional candidate this post will be offered at Chair level.

It is anticipated that the role of Programme Director will require 50% FTE, the other 50% can be used in a combination of teaching, research and clinical practice according to the post holder’s interests and expertise and the strengths and needs in HYMS.
