The University of Salford is seeking an exceptional candidate with the expertise, skills and personal attributes to bring inspirational leadership and direction to the Library Services Team within the Library. As Head of Library Service you will be leading the teams responsible for the delivery of services including access, circulation, enquiry services, printing and copying and the development of library spaces across the campus.
You will initially lead two strategic projects; developing service provision to respond to changes in spaces following the £6 million redevelopment of the Clifford Whitworth Library and establishing the Library’s contribution to the cultural life of the campus as part of the Cultural Campus.
You should be able to respond in a flexible way to an evolving University and HE landscape, ensuring the delivery of library services which are responsive, innovative and meet the needs of service users. You will have experience of managing effective, high performance, customer focused teams.
This is an exciting time to join the Library as we require a talented individual who will drive the delivery of innovative, customer focused library services and learning spaces which support the vision of the University.
